Technical Jury

The Gran Paradiso Film Festival is pleased to welcome important Italian and international jurors to the technical jury of the 26th edition.

Francesca Corrao

PRESIDENT OF THE JURY - Professor of Arabic Language and Culture, at Luiss University, she directs the MISLAM Master. Italian representative to the UEAI Associations, and IOP of the Soka University of Tokyo. She chairs the scientific committee of the Orestiadi Foundation.

Valentino Bobbio

Luigi Boitani

Professor emeritus of Zoology at La Sapienza University, author of scientific and popular contributions in the field of conservation biology, deeply involved in international policies for the conservation of nature and endangered species, in particular the wolf.

Guy Chaumereuil

Journalist specialising in mountain issues whose career has mainly taken place in Groupe Radio France. For two years President of the Vanoise National Park, now with responsibility for coordinating tourism strategy. At the end of his journalistic career, he was successively Director General of the Fédération Française des Clubs Alpins (FFCAM), then of the Grande Traversée des Alpes (GTA). He is founder and president of ‘Le Grand Bivouac’ Festival in Albertville and co-founder of the international ‘Piolets d'or de l'alpinisme’ award.

Andrea Frenguelli

An independent documentary filmmaker and film exhibitor, he lives between Perugia and Rome, where he alternates between working as a corporate filmmaker and running PostModernissimo, the first community cinema in Italy. A sectional instructor at the Giulio Vagniluca Umbra Intersectional Mountaineering School, he collaborates with mountaineering magazines such as Up Climbing and Appennino TV and is a selector at the Trento Film Festival. His second film ‘Uomini e fuochi - il rito dei glorianti di Scanno’ won the best documentary award at the ASS Film Festival at MAXXI in Rome in 2019.

Maximilien Triantafylou

A graduate in Romance Languages and Literatures, Maximilien has travelled to faraway places and his encounters with wildlife have shaped his understanding of environmental issues, social challenges and the coexistence of man and nature. For the past three editions, he has been general coordinator of the Festival International de Nature de Namur, responsible for programming amateur and professional films. Every year he spends weeks watching films about nature. His arrival at the Festival therefore reconciles his love of cinema and his admiration for wild nature. Maximilien aims to bring a critical and refreshing eye on the GPFF's wonderful selection.
